SUMMARY
Make repairs and conduct preventative maintenance on dollies/modules used in the process of building automobiles. The responsibilities of this position include contributing to the Environmental Management System (EMS) performance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in the protection of the environment and reduction of pollution from the activities within the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows safety guidelines and procedures.

Follows GMI procedures.

Participates in team meetings and training.

Cleans work area according to 5S standards.

Works on plant dollies as needed.

Conducts monthly PM on dollies as scheduled.

Fabricates items for TMMK as requested.

Assists in other areas as time permits.

Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED; and one to three months related experience and/or training. Welding experience needed. Basic mechanical knowledge.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Training as defined in 40402AAA, Training Requirements Matrix. GMI, Inc. unique training may be obtained during first three months of employment. Additional training will be provided as a part of Continuous Improvement.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write legibly and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will be required to wear protective clothing, gloves, and/or hard hat as specified in the various processes and/or instructions. The employee will also be required to wear safety shoes and safety glasses. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
