Job Description:
Old Republic Title seeks an experienced leader and escrow professional to manage our location in Kailua, Kona, Hawaii. The branch manager’s role is to exercise sound judgment to provide client and branch personnel with guidance, problem solving and oversight of day-to-day general branch functions. The person selected for this position is responsible for strategizing with management and marketing to continually increase revenue, market share, branch profitability and make sound and informed financial decisions. This person will monitor and guide branch and escrow team profitability through the growth of new clients and maintaining existing client relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise, coach and develop escrow staff within the branch regarding service expectations, escrow practices, company policies and procedures, computer applications, products, systems and business development.

The selected person, in addition to managing the branch, must be able to fulfill all functions of an escrow officer.

Ability to adopt and adapt to a changing industry environment. Will support, cooperate, engage, and contribute to Company goals, projects and initiatives related to new software tools and platforms, and production processing standards.

Plan, direct and organize workflow and staffing coverage. Address operational needs of employees and customers.

Maintain confidentiality.

Reduce risks and exposure to the Company.

Complies with Company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and completes mandatory company compliance training by assigned deadlines.

Continue escrow education through company seminars/meetings or through outside sources (i.e., Escrow Association).

At a minimum, the ability to work during scheduled or core business hours, Monday through Friday.

Dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include in-office attendance or attendance at company, industry or other events that occur outside regular business hours.

Facilitate regular branch meetings to disseminate company information and branch/individual goals.

Monitor employee work hours and approve timecards and overtime.

Responsible for resolving and escalating client issues pursuant to company policies and procedures.

Participate in employee recruitment and retention.

Accountable for employee compliance with company policies and procedures.

Provide employee training, oversight and compliance for government regulatory requirements.

Participate in investigations, personnel meetings, counseling meetings, employee goal setting and annual performance evaluation meetings, as necessary.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
-
A minimum of 5 years of Escrow Officer experience are required. Prior supervisory experience and the ability to effectively lead teams is critical.

Must have all knowledge and skills referenced in the job description for an Escrow Officer.

General administrative knowledge.

Organize time efficiently and effectively, prioritize job tasks, multitask and meet deadlines. Follow up on open and pending matters in a timely manner.

In-depth knowledge of title insurance policies, endorsements, and title pricing.

In-depth knowledge of escrow documents, escrow fees and terminology.

Capable of processing or assigning multiple types of transactions (i.e., Residential resale, exchanges, subdivision, financing, and commercial escrows). Resourceful and proactive problem-solving skills.

Detail oriented in all aspects of job responsibilities.

Maintains a “can do” professional attitude with co-workers and customers.

The estimated pay range stated below represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Pay Range for the position is $100,000.00 to $144,000.00, plus commissions.
Old Republic complies with all federal, state and local laws including minimum wage requirements. In the event a minimum hourly rate stated is lower than the minimum wage required by law, Old Republic will always pay an amount equal to or greater than the minimum wage required by law.
