Job Description:
*This position requires in-office attendance 5 days per week in the Concord, CA office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Have a complete understanding of policy and endorsement coverages. Generate Preliminary Reports, Commitments and Proforma policies. The ability to read and understand Surveys.
Ability to understand and interpret complex federal and state rules and regulations applicable to the title insurance industry.
Internal title advisory support for title staff and assist with training Commercial Title Examiners.
Comprehensive knowledge of land records and the ability to interpret data retrieved from various methods including title plants.
Proficient in property record related sites.
Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
Excellent interpersonal written, verbal and listening communication skills which are clear, grammatically correct and business appropriate.
Must display integrity, be personable, positive, and a professional representative of the company while maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary information.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
Essential Functions:
Supporting Escrow Operations in all facets of title curative matters as they relate to complex commercial high liability transactions. Work directly with customers, including, but not limited to real estate agents, builders, attorney’s, surveyors, buyers, sellers, and lenders.
Ability to foster, develop and maintain professional and collaborative working relationships with Underwriting. Understand the risks associated with a transactions when recommending approval to Underwriting. Propose solutions to challenging title risks.
Ability to understand and interpret complex federal and state rules and regulations applicable to the title insurance industry and communicate same to real estate agents, lenders and builders.
Collaborates and strategizes with management, Escrow, Sales, and marketing resources to develop and maintain a portfolio of real estate business with a primary emphasis on Commercial and High Liability clientele.

Must be a personable, positive, and professional representative of the company.

Physical/Mental Demands:
The ability to work with confidential information.
The ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.
Local/daily travel by automobile and overnight business travel by air and/or automobile, may be required.
Sedentary work: The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, twisting, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.
The estimated pay range stated represents the typical pay range for this position or similarly employed employees or employees performing substantially similar work. Factors which may be used to determine the actual pay rate may include, but are not limited to, education, training or experience; seniority; merit and work performance; quantity or quality of production; regional differences in compensation; differences in local minimum wages, or ability and effort.
Pay Range for the position is between $85,000 - $130,000 annually.
Old Republic complies with all federal, state and local laws including minimum wage requirements. In the event a minimum hourly rate stated is lower than the minimum wage required by law, Old Republic will always pay an amount equal to or greater than the minimum wage required by law.
