Job Description:
Summary:
Process payroll transactions. First line of contact for employees and managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs employee payroll and ancillary duties.
- Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy
- Process bi-weekly payroll and other special cycle payrolls for approximately 500-1000 employees of 5000 plus employees.
- Evaluate Workday Time Tracking and Absence
- Upload time into ADP
- Upload commission scheduled pay
- Audit payroll registers
- Distributes payroll and associate reports.
- Prepare and process statement of payment.
- Process off cycle checks when necessary
- Develop/Implement a strategy to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities. Ensures all tasks are complete and within the required timeframe.
- Collect and process payroll authorization forms such as, federal, state, and local withholding and direct deposit forms and upload into Workday.
- Collaborate with Benefits, Human Resources, and Accounting/Finance.
- Review and process leave of absence integrated pay provided by the Benefits Department
- Process retroactive benefits deductions
- Monitor Workday Inbox for new hires, salary changes, transfer, etc. to update necessary fields in ADP and HWSE.
- Reconcile ADP produced and manual checks to the check reconciliation and daily treasury logs.
- Cross train with other staff as directed.
- Assist with urgent and unexpected situations as needed.
- Answer employee payroll questions.
- Exemplifies professionalism and foster goodwill
- Complies with company policies and procedures.
- At a minimum, the ability to work your scheduled office hours, Monday through Friday.
- Ability to work overtime as requested by management.
- Dependable, reliable and punctual attendance is required, which may include attendance at after-hour company events.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- ADP Enterprise, ADP Reporting, ADP Self Service, ADP Health and Welfare Service Engine
- Workday
- 2-3 years payroll experience.
- Display flexibility, reliability, self-discipline, and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment while successfully performing under extreme time constraints and meets prescribed deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to act independently with sound judgment and take initiative.
Physical/Mental Demands:
- The ability to work with confidential information.
- The ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday is required.
- Repetitive and continual keyboard activity and interaction with display monitors is required.
Sedentary work: The majority of activity in this position involves sedentary work including sitting, standing, walking and the occasional need to lift or move objects.
