The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work as a Scrum Master with external and internal customers and the IT department to gather, document and recommend user requirements and specifications for existing and new applications for more complex business processes. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will coordinate and report on IT projects and tasks and assist the Manager Business & Systems Analysis in scoping and prioritizing IT tasks.
Essential Functions

Lead and perform requirements gathering and documentation with clients, internal users, and third party vendors for systems development, enhancements, and process improvements.

Develop and clearly document functional business specifications for new projects, including creating user stories and sprint goals.

Lead and guide the team and organization on how to best use Agile / Scrum Practices

Remove impediments and roadblocks for teams to progress smoothly.

Enable Process adherence within the teams.

Assess team scrum maturity and help move team to a higher plane, at a sustainable pace.

Assist Product Owners in planning updating prioritizing and refining backlogs.

Facilitate daily stand up, sprint pre-planning, sprint planning, retros, demos, and backlog grooming sessions.

Collaborate with other scrum masters in a scrum of scrum setting.

Provide accurate, understandable, and useful metrics/reporting on sprint performance and progress toward release and launch plans.

Work with external and internal clients to identify systems and process solutions that will enable new business opportunities. Quantify the IT resource needed to implement these new business solutions.

Lead and develop User Acceptance Testing plans, coordinate testing, and document test results of new systems functionality and processes. Provide level three support on new features and work with development staff as necessary to resolve issues.

Help devise and/or modify procedures to solve complex business problems in many forms (RFP response, cost benefit analysis, financial feasibility studies, software analysis and review, gap analysis).

Document IT projects & reporting to management.

Perform related duties as requested.
Education
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or a related discipline preferred. The equivalent amount of experience will be considered in lieu.
Experience
-
Six (6) or more years business analysis experience.
-
Two (2) or more years Scrum Master experience.
-
Scrum Master certification preferred.
-
Experience as a business analyst or operations analyst in the mortgage industry, specifically in the areas of production operations, product/program eligibility, pricing, and/or underwriting.

Experience writing functional requirements and specifications for software development projects.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to research, define and analyze business problems.

Ability to work with external clients and internal users to develop detailed, clearly written functional specifications for software development and for enhancement of existing software.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work and communicate effectively with IT and Operations personnel.

Knowledge of software development and maintenance methodologies

Proficient with Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Visio, MS Project and JIRA.

Compensation: $103,200 - $123,000 annualized with a 10% AIP opportunity.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in climate controlled indoor administrative office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, depending upon office or meeting location.
