Essential Functions

Help manage and lead a team that supports the Accounts Receivables and Collections business functions across the enterprise.

Develop an expected cash receipt report for top clients and implement an early resolution collection strategy when payment falls outside expectations.

Monitor average day sales outstanding (DSO) and develop strategies to reduce the DSO.

Ensure the company’s collection policy and timelines are adhered to and that the team have the tools necessary to be successful.

Set payment collection goals and targets for the department.

Implement/support collection policies and procedures to avoid excessive outstanding credit.
-
Ensure that the company policy on recoveries is followed and that it is in line with state and federal regulations.

Negotiate with customers in cases when non-payment occurs.

Prepare weekly feedback reports on payment collections.

Remain informed of any legislative procedural training regarding debt collection.

Lead and work on efforts to ensure accurate invoices are sent to clients.

Lead and work on efforts to ensure accurate entry have been entered into the ERP system.

Help resolve billing problems and/or ensure proper participation of team members.

Manage reconciliation of all payments to bank records.

Assist with billing, collections and payment application.

Perform other related tasks as requested.
Education
-
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Experience
-
3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivables/Collection management required
-
3 or more years of corporate level billing operations experience required; Workday financial billing experience preferred
-
3 years of Revenue/Cost Assurance experience preferred
-
1-3 years of project management experience preferred
-
Experience working in the mortgage industry is preferred
-
Prior leadership experience preferred
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to research, define and analyze business problems.

Knowledge of appropriate accounting practices to carry out the billing function in a professional manner.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately convey messages and influence others.

Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Workday.

Knowledge and understanding of government regulations that impact business units such as FLSA & bankruptcy.

Ability to develop quick, effective solutions to business challenges.

Proficient with Windows Operating System, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Visio, and MS Project.

Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Compensation: $61,040 - $76,300/year, with a 10% AIP opportunity

Work is performed in climate controlled indoor administrative office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, depending upon office or meeting location.
