The IT Audit Coordinator role is responsible for facilitating the processing, completion, and submission of technical, security related due diligence requests being managed by the IT Governance department. This position also performs technical writing functions assisting in the management of the IT technical writing repository and creating/updating policies, procedures, and associated documentation. The Audit Coordinator will regularly work with colleagues within both IT and the respective business units, as well as some interaction with external clients and/or vendors as part of coordinating audit deliverables and virtual or on-site assessments.
Essential Functions

Facilitate in the handling of inbound client due diligence inquiries from the initial acknowledgement of the request to the final deliverable of the completed packet

Take a lead role in completing technical audit questionnaires by referencing a centralized repository with predefined responses, and coordinating with stakeholders as needed

Assist in maintaining the response repository to keep it up to date with approved responses

Assist in scheduling of audit deliverables, maintaining a calendar to track audit deadlines and virtual or on-site audit sessions

Write, edit, format, and publish documentation and procedures in clear, concise methods that are easy to follow by the respective audience

Update policy, process, and other related documents on a recurring basis to account for process changes

Perform administrative functions associated with managing the technical writing document repository

Assist in defining and enhancing processes to improve departmental efficiency for managing the audit and technical writing workflow

Take a lead role in performing periodic internal audits to monitor corporate processes for compliance to operational policies and controls

Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience
-
Prior experience documenting policies and procedures required (1-3 years)

Experience working within an IT department required (2 years)

Experience working in a regulated corporate environment beneficial

Prior experience supporting SOC2 or similar audits preferred.

Compensation: $22.31 to $27.88 an hour depending upon experience, geographic location and other relevant factors.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in climate controlled indoor administrative office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate, depending upon office or meeting location.
