SERVE AS DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER FOR NASA\U2019S OP

Duties

• Serve as Deputy Project Manager for NASA’s Open Science Data Repository (OSDR) assisting the Project Manager and providing input on requirements and objectives for OSDR projects.
• Work with the OSDR Project Manager to track budget status, risk status, deliverables, and staffing needs.
• Co-chair change control board for projects.
• Provide execution status and risk assessment to Biological and Physical Sciences (BPS) Data Office and report any significant budge and schedule variances for disposition.
• Serve as a task requestor for staffing contracts to fulfill project needs.
• Assist in leading a multidisciplinary team, oversee contract task management, and resolve conflicts.
• Exercise proactive risk management by identifying potential challenges early and swiftly resolving issues to maintain project continuity and ensure project success.
• Act as a liaison for external stakeholders, including NASA leadership and the public community, ensuring transparent communication. Inform and involve stakeholders in project developments and aligning public interests with NASA’s scientific goals.
• Foster broad community engagement as part of NASA’s Open Science initiative, enhancing the accessibility of NASA’s biological and omics data repositories and supporting open data sharing for scientific advancement.
• Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility to create an environment that promotes a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.
