Duties

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Identify, develop, and facilitate the transfer and commercialization of federally owned or originated technology resulting from research, development, design, or other technological advancement.
• Conduct expert technical reviews of new, state-of-the-art, and developing technologies for commercial potential and develop and implement technology commercialization plans.
• Act as a senior advisor and consultant to the Technology Transfer Office, various task teams, Center organizations, and other government organizations.
• Negotiate as an expert with industry business executives and closes license agreements in the best interest of NASA.
• Use both technical and programmatic experience to evaluate, implement, and manage innovative joint agreement projects with industry, academia, and other agencies.
• As senior technical expert, aid in the success of agency standards for project management systems and controls. Perform requirements analysis, developing and implementing plans to ensure that project scope and requirements are defined and documented.
• Serve as focal point for identification of technologies that are of significant interest to NASA or have achieved significant commercial use.
• Serve as technical expert, and liaison with a variety of management officials.
