Duties

  • Communicates and engages with scientists and engineers as they develop and patent NASA technologies.
  • Maintains oversight of the Marshall Space Flight Center intellectual portfolio and all associated patenting and licensing activities.
  • Performs liaison functions with other organizations to advise management and technical personnel regarding program initiatives.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities to grow Marshall’s licensing portfolio and the network of licensees.
  • Serves as the Center’s Software Release Authority, overseeing the process for making NASA software available to the public.
  • Assists the Technology Transfer Office in the development of project objectives, plans, and resource requirements.
  • Fosters a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence and innovation. Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility to create an environment that promotes a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.
