Duties

  • In conjunction with or fully responsible in the absence of the Chief of Logistics, directs logistics operations, including overseeing day-to-day activities, and managing personnel.
  • Oversees a workforce comprised of both civil servant and contractor personnel performing various logistical functions.
  • In conjunction with or in the absence of the Chief of Logistics, directs the formulation and management of the Division’s operating budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively, and operations remain within fiscal constraints.
  • Provides input on both long-term and short-term strategic planning efforts, supporting the implementation of initiatives that align with the Agency and Center’s objectives and goals.
  • Manages the Division’s risk management process, identifying potential risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
