PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISION

Duties

• Provides administrative and technical supervision of the branch. Oversees and evaluates work conducted in systems engineering and integration for space flight systems.
• Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members. Recommends employee promotions and recognition, implements performance modifications, and takes corrective actions as appropriate.
• Advocates for resources and identifies strategic objectives for the organization.
• Provides employees with the resources and information that ensures a safe and healthy work environment.
• Works closely with program and project management to plan workforce allocation across mission directorates to support critical mission goals and requirements.
• Integrates and coordinates the efforts of agency personnel and contractors.
• Serves as the point of contact for systems engineering for aerospace flight systems and the application of technical processes and procedures for associated research and engineering projects.
• Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
