OPERATE, CONFIGURE, AND MAINTAIN LABORATORY TELEME

Duties

• Operate, configure, and maintain laboratory telemetry equipment in support of lab testing and operations.
• Design and build custom microprocessor-based systems in support of lab testing and projects.
• Design, troubleshoot, operate, and maintain communication gear including custom headset interfaces, and radio systems.
• Design, troubleshoot, operate, and maintain custom equipment to support emergency egress and rescue vehicles.
• Develop ideas and proposals for research and technology development projects.
• Use basic manufacturing techniques (for example 3D printing, power tools) to create custom solutions for projects and equipment.
• Develop an understanding of flight hazards, emergency plans, and emergency medical responses at KSC for crewed flights.
• Support emergency medical operations for crewed missions either by supporting console based coordination or field based medical forces.
