Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Greensboro, North Carolina Battery Plant Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated General Stores and Direct Materials Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Supply Chain Manager and support meeting all Production Control safety, quality, cost, and productivity KPI s during initial pre-production through SOP and eventual transition into responsibility for parts storage/maintenance/ordering.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the person in this role will support the Production Control department's objective to ensure the integrity of TBMNC’s supply chain at all times and under all condition and minimize Toyota Total Supply Chain Costs.
What you’ll be doing
- Daily monitoring of all direct raw materials including order and delivery adjustments to maintain ideal inventory levels.
- Adjusts all inventory targets and delivery needs based on monthly production changes.
- Manage TBMNC critical expedites.
- General Stores SAP System management for direct raw materials and chemicals.
- Support new material set up for direct raw materials and direct/indirect chemicals. Evaluates criticality of all materials requested to be stocked and approves material that meet the proper criteria.
- Manage Material Correction Sheet (MCS) process for part changes and other discrepancies.
- Manage General Stores inventory condition (set kanban cycles, set criteria for cycle counts, audits inventory condition and count accuracy)
- Create and analyze data reports including KPI, Order receiving, Stock out, Exception, and Past Due Reports.
- Lead a cross-functional team with shop maintenance/PE to communize part usage and eliminate obsolete parts in order to reduce inventory costs and improve space management.
- Resource for all hazmat shipping related questions within the plant.
- Support General Stores floor activity by monitoring processes.
What you bring
- Plant Engineering or Product Control experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equal experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication & visualization skills.
- Ability to create and execute strategic direction.
- Hoshin execution.
- Technical problem-solving ability (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Added bonus if you have
- Battery Manufacturing experience
- 3 Pillar management / execution experience
