- Overall Lettings Compliance: Oversee compliance in all lettings activities, including tenant screening, property management, and adherence to specific lettings regulations.
- New Listings Compliance: Ensure all new listings in sales and lettings comply with signed terms of business and AML regulations.
- AML Compliance: Manage AML processes for both sales and lettings transactions, including client identity verification and proof of finance.
- Develop and oversee mandatory training for agents in line with legislation
- Complaints Management and Liaison: Handle complaints, provide timely resolutions, and liaise with The Property Ombudsman when necessary.
- Luxury Market Compliance: Ensure compliance in luxury market transactions, addressing unique regulatory requirements and making sure non-luxury properties are not finding their way to eXp Luxury
- GDPR and Data Protection: Maintain GDPR compliance, ensuring all client data is managed in accordance with data protection laws.
- Training and Staff Compliance: Develop and oversee training programs for staff on compliance procedures and regulatory updates.
- Regulatory Updates and Advisory: Stay updated on changes in estate agency laws and advise the management team and staff accordingly.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks, and develop corrective action plans for problematic issues.
- Audit and Inspection Preparation: Prepare for and manage audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Contract and Legal Document Review: Oversee the legal compliance of contracts and documents.
- Ethical Standards and Conduct: Promote adherence to ethical standards within the agency.
- Line Management and support to Compliance Coordinator
- Proven experience in a compliance role 2-4 years, ideally within the UK estate agency sector.
- A Level/ Level 3 education or equivalent years of applicable experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK property laws, AML regulations, GDPR, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities.

- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance. - Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors (e.g., technicians, designers, support personnel). Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
