Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join the USANA legal department as a mid-level paralegal. In this position, you will collaborate effectively in a team setting, perform legal contract reviews identify legal and business risks, draft legal documents, perform legal analysis and research, assist with entity maintenance, project manage complex matters, contract reviewing process, assist with file management, and consult with outside counsel.
What You Will Do as USANA’s Paralegal
- Manage U.S. and International IP portfolio, complete basic trademark clearance searches
- Review labels and company materials for trademark compliance
- Intake contracts, conduct reviews, maintain contract database, enforce internal contract reviewing procedures, and other similar corporate items as assigned
- Administer FCPA training webinar, coordinate in-person/virtual FCPA trainings
- Manage complex legal projects and enforce legal policies
- Work with other departments and other corporate assignments as assigned
- Assist with general legal administrative duties (e.g., processing legal invoices, scheduling, proofreading, correspondence, filing, records management, agendas, notetaking, and general office duties
Background and Skills You Will Need
- Associate degree in paralegal studies and/or paralegal certificate required
- 5+ years’ paralegal experience, large law firm or in-house experience
- Ability to review commercial contracts to identify legal and business risks.
- Ability to draft legal documents, conduct legal research and analysis, and understand entity maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and successful delivery on time and within budget
- Good understanding of contract law.
