National Account Manager

The National Account Manager is expected to develop a strategic, long-term business relationship with Walmart & Sam’s Club buyers, planners, and other key decision-makers by understanding Walmart & Sam’s Club’s business strategies and providing consultative services that increase the value of the customer’s business with Walker Edison. Comfort in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must.
This is how you can contribute to our success (Responsibilities):
- Strategically growing our Walmart business and enabling business opportunities with Sam’s Club both online and in-store.
- Planning, organizing, leading, and managing balanced sales growth, continued account penetration, promotional planning, and executing, while delivering corporate financial objectives.
- Creating, influencing, and maintaining relationships with horizontal and vertical account management, inclusive of top decision-makers.
- Selling the current Walker Edison product lines and managing overall promotional and advertising campaigns.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with accounts to ensure the attainment of growth objectives.
- Conducting product and account analyses, utilizing qualitative and quantitative data, and developing a sales plan based on the data.
- Identify product development opportunities for the product marketing group.
- Working with a team-based sales and marketing environment to cultivate strong collaborative relationships with team members.
Functional/Technical Competencies:
- Monitoring and accounting for account forecasts with demand & planning teams.
- Accountable for preparation, planning, and delivery of sales line review presentations.
- Maintaining monthly account forecasts and creating annual budgets.
- Responsible for weekly business reporting on e-commerce and in-store business.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations with key account.
- Communicating consistently and efficiently with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Development, Customer Service and Quality.
- Ability to analyze retail sales data with translation into strategic direction.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience selling and/or managing consumer packaged goods to Walmart & Sam’s Club.
- Confident understanding of Walmart and Sam’s Club backend/operations.
- Experience with omnichannel selling, promotional planning, and implementation of customer advertising programs online.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience managing budgets.
- Strong analytical skills in Microsoft Excel, PPT, etc., and reporting platforms.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
