PROVIDES LEADERSHIP IN IDENTIFYING AND ASSESSING R

Duties

• Provides leadership in identifying and assessing risks associated with institutional safety. Provides technical recommendations to Safety and Mission Assurance and Center management for risk acceptance or risk mitigation.
• Provides leadership and management of community members, processes, tools, products, and services associated with conducting Institutional and Programmatic safety reviews, with responsibility for coordinating/communicating safety activities.
• Defines technical work requirements and milestones; evaluates the organization and employee accomplishments by accepting or rejecting work products; and presents and defends organization and employees work to senior management and other offices.
• Obtains resources and identifies strategic objectives for the organization. Coordinates with Division Chief to adjusts project resources to overcome critical, unforeseen difficulties and unsatisfactory results.
• Serves as a technical liaison between the Contractor and Contracting Officer by monitoring the Contractor’s performance and delivery of the final products and services under contract.
• Assures technical proficiency and compliance with the technical provisions of the contract by reviewing and verifying the performance of work by the contractor.
• Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
