Duties

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Develops an integrated program and portfolio budget strategy to achieve financial integrity to ensure the budget requests are defensible and are effectively utilized to achieve NASA's goal and objectives.
• Directs cost effectiveness programs encompassing large and diverse projects. Develops long-range program and portfolio plans, goals, objectives, and milestones for evaluating the effectiveness of agency programs.
• Prepares budget, spending plans, obligates funds, reconcile accounts, and respond to financial inquiries.
• Provides financial oversight, advanced planning, and strategic guidance to technical and programmatic counterparts, Resource Management Office and Office of the Chief Financial Officer, and Space Technology Mission Directorate leadership team.
• Provides program and financial information for Agency, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congressional budget briefings and hearings.
• Provides authoritative and comprehensive programmatic analysis to ensure the integration and validation of the organization's budget programs and requirements.
