SUPPORTS THE BRANCH CHIEF IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF

Duties

• Supports the Branch Chief in the administration of all technical duties and acts on behalf of the branch chief in their absence.
• Provides technical and administrative supervision 50 percent or more of the time to subordinate employees performing the work and function of the organization.
• Defines jobs, selects employees, and assigns work; defines technical work requirements and milestones; evaluates the organization and employee accomplishment by accepting or rejecting work products.
• Presents and defends organization and employees to senior management and other offices.
• Applies systems engineering expertise to flight systems, subsystems, hardware, or components used in the development, support, and integration of aerospace systems, vehicles, and ground systems.
• Serves as the technical management consultant to the Division Chief and other Center or major program organization element in areas of technical responsibility.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
