SERVES AS TEAM LEAD AND PROVIDES EXPERT TECHNICAL

Duties

• Serves as Team Lead and provides expert technical advice to accountants in the continuing study, revision, improvement, or adjustment of current or new/advanced accounting/financial systems.
• Provides authoritative advice and guidance on the processes, methods, and resolution of extremely diverse operations and related accounting and control systems.
• Provides subject matter expertise to the aforementioned functions; plans, develops, and implements accounting systems, policies, and practices to provide management control over the safeguarding of public funds.
• Reviews/analyzes new legislation and proposed policy changes for impact on current operations.
• Develops detailed reports on impact of changes, coordinates with senior management to provide input into policy development and ensures consistent and accurate interpretation/application.
• Plans, develops and implements NSSC procedures, policies, and guidelines related to complete accounting programs, especially related to the Working Capital Fund.
• Provides advice and recommendations on assigned cost accounting activities.
• Ensures funds are efficiently controlled and financial records accurately reflect the status of the financial condition of the NSSC.
• Plans, coordinates and prepares statements and reports containing essential financial information, such as financial and contractual status, general ledger accounts system, quarterly and annual reports, and accounts receivable due.
