Requisition Summary
Kenworth’s Zero Emissions department is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team developing electric trucks. This individual will develop electrical and electronic solutions for Battery Electric zero emissions vehicles. The successful candidate must initiate and coordinate design activities to align with goals across multiple PACCAR Divisions. The ideal candidate will deliver validated designs that continue to enhance PACCAR’s reputation as an industry leader in the development of efficient and green solutions.
Job Responsibilities:

Design electrical wiring, grounding, and power distribution systems for zero emission products.

Manage project deliverables through all stages of development (Definition, Concept, Engineering, and Verification/Validation), and adapt job responsibilities within the team to ensure successful completion.

Support assembly, troubleshooting, and validation of pre-production vehicles.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure designs that maintain industry-leading quality and reliability.

Proactively forecast and take steps to mitigate risks. Prepare work estimates for time, resources & budget.

Up to 10% travel (domestic and international)
Qualifications & Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree required.

0-1 years of industry-related background in the design and specification of automotive or HD truck components required, preferably in the field of electric vehicles.

Willingness to grow personally and professionally, ready to learn and make use of new engineering processes, techniques, and tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives.

Demonstrated initiative to develop solutions and drive to see them through.

Proficiency in standard business software tools (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Awareness of industry standards and regulations (SAE, ISO, FMVSS, etc.).

Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) disciplines and tools preferred.

Experience with Siemens Capital systems preferred.
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree. Master’s degree in similar fields and Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.

Additional Job Board Information
At PACCAR, we value talent and promote growth and development. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for Electrical Engineer-Zero Emissions Harnessing is $65,500-$98,300 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
