PACCAR Technical Center is seeking a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and electrical skills to support the development of engine aftertreatment systems as part of the PACCAR Global Engines team.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, hardware, DTC and software issues using development tools, schematics and engineering drawings on test vehicles
- Configure test vehicles including updating vehicle and engine software, installing and coordinating the installation of test hardware and instrumentation
- Complete testing activities for engineers in test cells and vehicles and report back with data and testing summary
- Train drivers and technicians on the correct test procedures and support creation of test standards
- Ability to clearly organize and post-process collected test data and support troubleshooting data discrepancies
- Clear communication to the team and management regarding continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Document failures and support verification of fixes
- Support local and offsite testing activities including remote testing locations
- Maintain positive working relationship with other groups at the PACCAR Technical Center and other PACCAR divisions
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in the automotive or diesel field
- Familiar with current diesel exhaust aftertreatment technology (DOC, DPF, SCR & DEF)
- Comfortable with PC based automotive diagnostic programs and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of ATI vision and Cummins Calterm a plus
- Must be self-directed, organized and able to target timely completion of tasks and projects
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to manage personal workload and have the willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands
- Class A CDL holder is desired, must be capable of completing and maintaining PACCAR vehicle operation approval
- Ability to travel up to 15%, including international travel
Education
BS in a technical field (STEM) field required

The salary range for Senior Engine Aftertreatment Technical Engineer is $84,000 - $131,700 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
