Job Function/Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain records of spare parts inventory and supplies and order material as necessary.
- Maintain spare parts and equipment storage locations.
- Work with Instrumentation and Facilities teams to request quotes for equipment and supplies.
- Follow up with suppliers on the status of orders.
- Research and order parts requested by the Facilities and Instrumentations teams.
- Assist Instrumentation team and work with suppliers to send instrumentation offsite for routine calibrations.
- Maintain calibration gas inventory, change out gas cylinders and order gas cylinders as necessary.
- Fill out customs forms and work with the corporate customs department when working with international shipments.
- Use SAP to create purchase requisitions and shipping authorizations.
- Operate standup and sit-down forklifts.
- Assist Facilities and Instrumentation teams with equipment maintenance and repairs when needed.
- Maintain the highest level of work area cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
- Common knowledge of industrial parts and equipment.
- Willingness to learn about specific Engine Test Lab equipment and instrumentation to support research and purchasing activities.
- Must have the ability and initiative to make improvements to existing processes.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Must be self-directed with the ability to manage personal workload.
- Microsoft Office software proficiency desired (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Education
AA Degree in related Technology preferred, or equivalent work experience.
