What You’ll Do:
The Financial Analyst supports the Region Presidents and Finance Managers and ensures processes are in place to achieve financial goals.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform post-acquisition project reviews that compare actual results with original underwriting to identify trends or gaps and areas of improvement for future deals.
- Source data and prepare various consolidated weekly/monthly reports of regional performance across the company.
- Partner with the Division Management Team to ensure accurate commission and bonus forecasting and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations to the Management Team.
- Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in profitability and performance against budget.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, sourcing, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.
- Track and pay property tax bills.
- Track and accurately code all incoming wire deposits and earnest money refunds.
- Ensure understanding and compliance with financial and accounting policies, internal control procedures, and practices.
- Provide analytical support to management to improve homebuilding operations and identify cost savings opportunities.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
What You Have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and job costing.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Proficient in various other software and accounting systems used in the real estate industry.
Your Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent hands-on experience in homebuilding construction.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in finance, financial planning, and analysis or accounting.
