Operations Manager
Description
- Daily Pipeline Management to ensure all loans close as scheduled.
- Assign and monitor Loan Processor workload balance.
- Assist in the ongoing training of all Loan Processors
- Support and mentor staff in daily tasks and provide ongoing assistance troubleshooting complex loan products or questions.
- Monitor the Processing pipeline to ensure all files adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Modify and develop a workflow for Processing Department, as needed.
- Conduct Processing team meetings regularly.
- Willingness to maintain a small pipeline during peak times.
- Works with multiple departments to facilitate post-closing investor conditions.
- Makes decisions on loan requests or suggests alternative solutions to loan issues.
- Be available as a processing resource for Loan Officers, as needed.
- Occasional travel.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Strong knowledge of DU and LP AUS programs.
- Full knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loans.
- Knowledge of first-time homebuyer market, helpful.
- Complete understanding of the life cycle of a loan.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and be highly proactive.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Team-oriented and with a positive attitude.
- Experience managing a large team in a high-volume environment.
- Prior management experience includes interviewing, hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions, training, coaching, and mentoring.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
- Must have 5+ years of mortgage industry experience.
- Prior experience as a processor, underwriter and/or originator required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Management or Supervisory experience required.
- Builder experience is preferred.
