Mortgage Disclosure Desk Specialist
Description
- Prepare and distribute initial loan disclosures and re-disclosures as required to meet 3 day timing requirement.
- Ensure all disclosures are completed and sent within mandated regulatory timelines.
- Maintain reporting resources to aid in timely disclosure management.
- Communicate with production and operations teams, including Loan Officers, Processors, and other departments as necessary to confirm that disclosures are appropriate and give feedback when modifications are required.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to loan disclosures.
- Monitor changes in legislation and lender requirements that may affect disclosures.
- Pipeline management to ensure all dates, triggers, and data integrity is accurate.
- Knowledgeable of all federal and state laws pertaining to the mortgage lending industry, including Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), and TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures Rule (TRID).
- Ability to review loan documents and identify errors or discrepancies quickly.
- Knowledge of different loan types to include conventional, FHA, VA, USDA.
- Detail-oriented and the ability to follow up on tasks.
- Work effectively under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
- Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently
- Availability to work overtime during surges in workload.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Able to work independently
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Degree, preferred.
- One year of Mortgage Disclosure Auditing experience, preferred.
- One year of Mortgage Disclosure documents, preferred.
- Prior experience within a customer service focused environment.
- Encompass or other LOS experience, a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office products.
- Proven ability to learn additional software. Outstanding communication skills both verbal & written
