What you’ll do:

Understand Listener Needs: Develop a deep understanding of SiriusXM’s business goals and listener needs to inform design strategies.

Create Design Solutions: Translate business goals and listener needs into creative design solutions through sketches, wireframes, user flows, prototypes, visual mocks, and interaction specs.

Collaborate on A/B and User Testing: Work with UXR, science and personalization teams to define, run, and assess targeted tests to enhance our understanding of listeners and optimize impact on core business metrics.

Holistic Experience Design: Consider the full ecosystem of listener experiences across mobile, web, TV, and other devices, ensuring cohesive and engaging user interactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to define, build a shared understanding around, implement, and measure the impact of our designs.

In-Car Design Collaboration: Collaborate with the design team focused on our long-standing automotive experience to ensure seamless integration and innovation across platforms.

Mentorship and Feedback: Be an active and supportive team member, providing and receiving feedback, asking insightful questions, and recognizing the unique perspectives of each team member.

Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of the product design process by reflecting on and refining workflows.

Advocate User-Centered Design: Champion user-centered design principles across the company to ensure user needs are prioritized.

Cultural Contribution: Share your passions about music, sports, podcasts and others with your teammates, contributing to a vibrant and engaging team culture!
What you’ll need:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in product design and development, focusing on consumer-facing mobile design experiences. Demonstrable via a comprehensive design portfolio highlighting challenges, collaboration, and impact.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.

Problem-Solving Skills: A user-centered approach to problem-solving that leverages research, analytics, and empathy combined with strong design intuition and best practices.

Design Patterns Knowledge: A solid understanding of today’s common design patterns (across mobile, web, desktop) and an awareness of when to innovate beyond them.

Professional Growth Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional and personal growth.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor communications to various audiences.

Collaboration and Feedback: A habit of sharing your work at all stages to leverage the expertise of those around you.
