Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work independently meeting deadlines and implementing program standards.
- Provide risk management for all university, program, state, national accreditation and local regulations and standards.
- Substitute for teachers and assistant teachers as needed.
- Order and purchase food, evaluate menus, provide nutrition education or training, document any concerns related to the CACFP and participate in the subsequent follow-up.
- Coordinate family involvement activities by planning and assisting teachers with the implementation of the events.
- Provide various forms of administrative assistance, both in the office and on site.
- Process student payroll per UM policies.
- Maintain program inventory and materials in a clean and orderly manner, order and shop for materials.
- Arrange for repairs as needed and assemble materials as per program practices.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the academic and non-academic activities of the preschool/child care center.
- Subject to a minimum of 16 hours of Early Childhood training annually.
Required Qualifications
- Current first aid and CPR certification by first day of employment.
- Twenty-four (24) credits in Early Childhood Education.
Minimum Required Experience
- High School diploma and two (2) years of experience in a licensed or registered child care facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Degree.
- Experience and/or training in business or office management.
- Knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation Standards.
- Knowledge of CACFP policies, practices and procedures including meal preparation and service.

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 12 months/year, schedule.
Salary: $21.255/hr Current employee’s rate of pay for this position will be determined by the staff compensation plan and will minimally be this posted salary. For questions and details regarding the staff compensation plan, email the .

Probationary Period: Six months minimum
