The Senior Technical Lead is responsible for the analysis, design and support of the necessary requirements to support the Aussie Grill concept from an IT perspective. The role manages and coordinates these activities from beginning to end through the use of agile best practices focused on strategic/analytical assessment, requirements gathering, iteration identification, problem solving and project management. This role will work closely with the business functions within the Aussie Grill concept.
This role is based out of our Restaurant Support center located in Tampa, FL and approved for a hybrid work schedule. This temporary role is slated to end in December of 2024.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Develops and maintains an intimate understanding of business operations
- Leads requirements gathering sessions with end users at all levels (Vice President, Director, Managers, Individual Contributors)
- Develops use case models, system requirements interface requirements, integrity requirements, performance and operational requirements
- Works directly with vendors for building of new versions, configuration of current to meet business needs
- Performs business request configurations on POS & Inventory systems as needed
- Leads QA sessions for new version testing
- Identifies opportunities for operational efficiency through automation and core system utilization
- Works collaboratively with IT and business to provide project estimates for cost-benefit analysis
- Helps coordinate the development of necessary project documentation and standards required for compliance and identified agile best practices
- Keeps project managers, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, project status, changes, etc.
- Understands how to use technology to competitive advantage and to solve business problems
- Able to pay attention to detail, but not get bogged down by it (and prevent others from doing the same) in order to maintain agility and rapidly move the agenda forward
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Two or more years’ experience defining requirements and systems for retail applications.
- Ability to influence and direct both business and IT resources on the right direction and approach.
- Takes ownership of critical decisions, leading to resolution on behalf of the business and IT
- Challenges the business to ensure the team is working on the right things based on empirical information (ROI, LOE, etc.)
- Ensures both business stakeholders and IT team members are all aligned with project objectives and identified agile practices.
- Restaurant/Hospitality industry Experience a big plus
