Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What You’ll Do
- Build and operate integrated test labs for one of the world's first FAA certified eVTOL aircraft
- Manage work orders in JIRA and assign to technicians to execute builds and modifications to test labs
- Maintain lab documentation for lab modifications, repairs and upgrades
- Aid in the repair and replacement of aircraft subsystems components in a test lab environment
- Setup and operate test equipment during initial subsystems integration testing
- Inspect the work of technicians to ensure quality and conformity with design specifications
- Mentor other technicians to provide training on how to build and maintain complex subsystems test labs
- Approve and keep track of the time cards, leave and shifts of the technicians
- Make sure all the material, parts and tooling for work orders are available
- Work with purchase department to order parts for the team
- Receive and maintain inventory of parts, consumables, aircraft components and simulation hardware
- Work closely with testers to ensure seamless collaboration and prevent any testing bottlenecks
- Collaborate with other teams to support wiring harnesses builds on an as needed basis
- Create and maintain technical operations and lab operations procedures in Confluence
What You Need
- Familiarity with aircraft components, its handling, removal and installation procedures.
- 5+ years of experience in the lab test environment and of which at least 2 years in leading the team
- Familiarity with aircraft wiring build, modification, troubleshooting and installation
- Superior technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft subsystems operation and troubleshooting
- Extreme attention to detail and high expectations for quality technical work
- A safety conscious mindset for ensuring the wellbeing of all working in the labs
- Set an example for a high standard of technical work for other team members
- Familiarity with aircraft systems, performance characteristics, and certification requirements.
- Experience in working with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA
- Experience in working with aerospace suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers
- Adaptable and capable of assuming various roles as needed and do multi-tasking
- Experience in setting up policies and procedures for technical operations
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while effectively managing multiple priorities.
Bonus Qualifications
- A&P License
- Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Experience with FAA type certification and conformal test setups
- Familiarity with high voltage systems

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $115,200 and $144,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
