JOB FUNCTION
The Credit & Structure Capital Investment Assistant will provide administrative support for up to 5 investment professionals. This position requires a candidate who is enthusiastic about and excels in a support role. This role will support the Head of Credit and Structured Capital and report into the team’s Chief Administrative Officer.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage calendars and coordinate meetings with private and public company representatives, research providers and other industry representatives, including sell side brokers and trading counterparties, as well as peer investment firms.
- Serve as a gatekeeper for investment professionals; discern which information and callers get through; handle correspondence.
- Assist with tracking meetings and projects in internal systems.
- Organize and schedule high volume of domestic and international travel arrangements; prepare related travel itineraries.
- Prepare expense reports; maintain strong understanding of T&E and compliance pre-approval policies.
- Assist with event planning and ad hoc projects as required.
- Provide back-up coverage for 1-2 Investment Assistants.
- Handle periodic personal requests as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree with a record of academic success.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated customer service orientation.
- Support experience within a team environment.

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $90,000 to $140,000. In addition to base salary, Viking employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, 100% coverage of medical and dental premiums, and paid lunches.
