LEAD AND EXECUTE COMPLEX SPACECRAFT THERMAL ANALYS

Duties

• Lead and execute complex spacecraft thermal analyses in support of the Deep Space Logistics (DSL) Project in the Gateway Program.
• Evaluate commercial spacecraft thermal design, test, and analyses for determination of vehicle flight acceptability and vehicle certification.
• Develop, maintain, and provide support for thermal analysis tools, scripts, software, and codes. This includes implementing innovative and leading-edge analysis and numerical techniques to optimize analysis tools increasing accuracy and efficiency.
• Take part in project studies, experiments, and fundamental research on new techniques, methods of analysis, aerospace technologies, and thermal physics.
• Communicate analysis results and findings, thermal design drivers and impacts, and possible risks to a variety of audiences including Program, Project, and Agency management, technical leadership, chief engineers, and review boards.
• Collaborate with both Agency Programs and international partners on change reviews and requirement development, system integration, system testing, and requirement verification and closure in thermal and thermal-related subject areas.
• Perform independent verification and validation of the commercial providers and Gateway program thermal control systems, in coordination with the project Integrated Performance Mangers and Chief Engineers.
• Coordinate and support technical interchange meetings (TIM) between both commercial and government stakeholders.
