LEAD THE DOCUMENTATION, ALLOCATION, SECURITY, AND

Duties

• Lead the documentation, allocation, security, and reporting for the portion of the US Antarctic Meteorite collection at NASA Johnson Space Center. Update requirements for curation procedures, documentation, databasing, and sample allocations, etc.
• Work with the Astromaterials Allocation Review Board (AARB) to review scientific proposals requesting to study samples to enable the best science results for the requestors and future planetary scientists.
• Lead the Advanced Curation developments for the Antarctic meteorite collection and formulate original scientific research as it relates to curation and related field of astromaterials study.
• Write peer-reviewed publications in high-ranked journals (for example: Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, Meteoritics and Planetary Science, Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Nature Astronomy, Science Advances, Science, etc).
• Provide service and leadership to the Agency and scientific community as required in their area of expertise (e.g., paper reviews, grant panel reviews, public engagement).
