Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with on-call after hours and weekend shifts | 40 hours per week
A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As an Information Technology Support Technician, you will provide technical support and service to all Peoples Bank employees for their daily hardware and software needs, troubleshooting problems, and advising on the appropriate action. You will work in a fast-paced environment using knowledge and tools to support the users from the ground up, requiring interest in learning new tools and applications and will use that knowledge as part of a team effort of IT support.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- Receiving requests for support from Peoples Bank employees, taking ownership of and responsibility for requests and prioritize them by following established departmental and organizational procedures and service level agreements.
- Investigating faults, problems, and other requests for support while obtaining all pertinent information and documenting progress while working towards a resolution.
- Ensuring that systems used by the department, such as the inventory of assets and ticketing system, are kept up-to-date and as accurate as possible.
- Undertaking other duties as may be reasonably required within the position's general level of responsibility and scope, as determined by IT Management.
- Providing timely responses to client and management requests. Status updates on such requests need to be provided regularly.
- Following set policies and procedures when assisting clients to ensure proper handling of requests.
- Staying current with system information, changes, and updates.
- Informing management of recurring problems.
- Participating in the Extended Support rotation one week per month.
What You Bring to the Team:
- You have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
- You have an associate’s degree in IT or expected to graduate with such degree within one calendar year. You may have an IT Certification.
- You have a minimum 1-2 years of customer service in Information Technology or a combination of experience and education in IT.
- You have strong people skills and the ability to quickly and accurately diagnose problems and develop solutions with a positive attitude. The ability to understand and comprehend new technology innovations and teach these concepts.
- You work and think quickly under pressure.
- You have proficiency in using the latest version of Microsoft products.
- You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations as required.
- You have a working knowledge of the Bank’s computer network infrastructure and procedures.
- You work with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
- You are skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
- You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
- You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations and off-site for meetings and/or training as required.
- You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.
