Electronic Funds Operations Assistant Manager

A Day in Your Life at Peoples Bank:
As an Electronic Funds Operations Assistant Manager, you will primarily be the main resource for the Electronic Funds Operations team. You will be supervising, training and providing guidance to department staff including individual staff development and coaching. You will work with the Electronic Funds Operations Manager to ensure the day-to-day functions are performed efficiently. Additionally, you will act as the project manager for projects as assigned.
Your Primary Responsibilities Would Include:
- You will be responsible for department in absence of department manager.
- You will be providing support and act as a resource for bank Automated Clearing House (ACH) and wire transfer procedures.
- You will obtain and maintain VISA certifications.
- You will be coordinating projects with FIS and new vendors.
- You will evaluate debit card fraud trends and take preventative action as necessary.
- You will escalate risk concerns to department manager and/or Fraud Investigations Department.
- You will assist with card related tasks including but not limited to electronic funds transfer (EFT) disputes, maintenance and inventories.
- You will be a resource for support and research of staff questions regarding process and procedure for the department as related to Bank Operations policy and procedure.
- You will provide support to bank and department employees for all functions and escalations.
You will be responsible for supporting the department manager in feedback for annual performance reviews, employee coaching, maintaining the annual business continuity plan by updating and testing, cross training department functions to ensure adequate coverage, GL certifications for assigned general ledger accounts, analyzing processes, evaluating alternatives and implementing solutions to create department efficiencies. - You will assist in the creation and update of all department policies and procedures.
- You will work in conjunction with Training Department on Wire and EFT Dispute Training classes.
What You Bring to the Team:
1. You have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
2. You have a strong knowledge of Bank operations, policies and procedures.
3. You have a minimum 3-4 years Bank Operations experience.
4. You may have a minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
5. You have expanded knowledge of bank Automated Clearing House (ACH) and wire transfer procedures.
6. You have the ability to work with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. You possess strong technical and analytical skills with a strong aptitude with information technology.
8. You are proficient in Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
9. You are skilled at business communication, both verbal and written.
10. You have strong interpersonal skills including professional etiquette and service mentality.
11. You have a strong professional demeanor and high regard for confidentiality.
12. You can travel to other Peoples Bank locations and off-site for meetings and/or training as required.
13. You have the ability to model the Peoples Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.
