Overview
The Business Supervisory Office (BSO) - tax team is responsible for the end-to-end client onboarding process within the Private Bank. The team is responsible for the review of client information and documentation (including Know-Your-Client, account opening, and tax documents) to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. You will be extremely detail oriented and analytical. You must be able to take data from multiple sources and apply appropriate policy framework to each situation. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team and switch gears quickly to adapt to business needs in a highly charged and challenging environment.

What You’ll Do
Managing and streamlining operational tax compliance process and establish controls to comply with tax documents due diligence requirements
Overseeing validation and approval of IRS Forms W-9, W-8BEN, W-8IMY, W-8ECI and W-8EXP and supporting tax documentation and clients’ books and records during client onboarding and maintenance
Managing upcoming tax regulatory changes and engage with group tax and business and develop plans and timelines to comply with them
Develop key operating procedures and training materials for any changes to regulatory tax requirements
Lead and manage escalations and investigations of IRS B-notices and audits
Review and approve year-end information reporting on 1099 and 1042-S
Skills You’ll Need
Relevant experience with regulatory US information withholding and reporting (IRS Ch. 61, 3, 4)
Ability to work well under tight deadlines and time pressure for quick turnaround and timely decision making
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel (macros, pivots, lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $54,000 to $77,400. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
