ISP.Net is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) covering Nevada, California and Arizona. The Company has developed in-house systems to manage its infrastructure, schedule work and provide customer support. These systems are used by around 100 employees and thousands of customers. They are built in PHP and supported by an in-house development team.
The Company is looking for experienced, ambitious, modern backend developers to support its growth by continuing to automate repetitive work, expand the range of services it can provide and modernize and improve the overall quality of its systems. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting and coordinating software development activities, including design decisions for the technology, structure and configuration of the system,
- Work with Department Manager and internal stakeholders to review problems, define and test solutions,
- Collaborate with team members on questions and decision making,
- Provide basic application support to internal stakeholders,
- Integrate third party web services using their API,
- Integrate network devices without an API (e.g. via Shell scripts).
Experience:
- Detailed understanding of OOP and MVC principles,
- Proficient in modern, object-oriented PHP (version 7+),
- Proficient in HTML, CSS and Javascript (including jQuery),
- Proficient in SQL/MySQL,
- Proficient in git,
- Experience building complex web applications,
- Knowledge of web application threat vectors including SQL injection and CSRF,
- Knowledge of web application performance factors such as orders of complexity,
- Basic understanding of the Linux command line (Shell scripting is a plus),
- Experience developing with the Symfony PHP framework is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline,
- Equivalent experience working in a professional development setting may be substituted.

I've been with LV Net since 2017. I swear GREAT SPEED and GREAT SERVICE, they always answer the phone, and work on any problem (which very rarely happens by the way) immediately, if couldn't solve it through the phone a tech comes in the very next day, and always someone following up to see how did it go. 10 Stars :-)

I live in a remote area, I was told there was not anyway to connect to the internet, we don't have a landline, no cable, no fiber. I called LV.net, gave them my location, they could provide service, which was surprising considering no one else could, not even the cellular companies. They arrived at the agreed upon time, installed their equipment, and I have been happy customer for almost a year. I use it for streaming and remite work. Hopefully LV.net's name change to isp.net is in name only, they have great customer service, available 24/7.

ISP.net formerly LV.net is hands down the best in the business. They deliver what they say they will! if you have a problem call them 24 hours a day and they will work the issue until it's fixed. I had fluctuating speeds, called them at 9pm and they troubleshot over the phone and narrowed it down to a hardware issue. The next morning at 0800 a technician was on the scene and upgrading the receiver at no additional cost or headache for me. The tech was friendly, professional, and efficient!
