Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Contributing to a team of engineers, scientists, and technicians on new technology development from conception through R&D to production of reliable commercial products,
- Designing, Implementing, and Testing software/firmware solutions for Bridger’s measurement solutions,
- Optimizing data processing algorithms for use on Edge-Compute or embedded processing resources such as SBCs,
- Working in or modifying an embedded Linux distribution on custom computer baseboards,
- Developing software interfaces to abstract and simplify device operation,
- Developing and/or executing test plans to validate embedded system operations,
- Troubleshooting complex embedded data collection and processing systems,
- Deploying and operationalizing new hardware products in off-site demonstrations.
Requirements
Required qualifications:
- B.S., B.A., or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field with demonstrated embedded systems experience,
- Demonstrated proficiency in C, C++, or similar languages.
- Experience designing and implementing software/firmware solutions for real-time or near real-time computer systems,
- Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS, or similar,
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with customers for troubleshooting and product development purposes,
- Ability to work in a multi-discipline engineering team with effective task coordination,
- Excellent work ethic with the willingness to work hard and efficiently in fast-paced environment,
- Ability to take initiative and work independently on assigned projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Direct hands-on experience working with Nvidia, Xilinx, or similar processor SOMs,
- Experience with FPGA based processing systems.
- Demonstrated programming experience in MATLAB, Python, or similar languages,
- Experience with code analysis and profiling techniques/tools such as Static Analysis, Valgrind, etc,
- Familiarity with Git based project revisioning,
