Overview of Position

Bridger has established strong competitive advantages with our Gas Mapping LiDAR™ technology, resulting in significant growth opportunities.   We seek an outstanding and motivated FP&A Director to support and enhance our growth.   The successful candidate will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and be an integral part of the Executive Team. The successful candidate will enhance our core value of technical excellence, integrity, and honesty.   The FP&A Director will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial planning and analysis process, driving strategic decision-making, and ensuring the company's financial health. This position requires strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
• Drive the annual budgeting process, collaborating with different departments to set financial targets and resource allocation.
• Conduct thorough analysis of financial performance, including variance analysis and trend identification.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and investment decisions.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement and investment allocation to drive profitability.

• Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to develop near, medium and long-term strategic plans and initiatives.
• Assess the financial feasibility, returns and impact of proposed strategic initiatives.
• Perform cost-benefit analysis and capital expenditure planning.
• Assist in evaluating potential investments, partnerships, and business opportunities.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to management and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance and financial health.

Forecasting and Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact financial performance.
• Develop scenario analyses and sensitivity models to assess potential outcomes.
• Make recommendations on strategies to mitigate financial risks and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• This role requires a high level of strategic thinking and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) in financial planning and analysis at a growth company, preferably with experience in technology, data services, oil and gas or environmental services industry.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and budgeting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and presentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functions and present   complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental conservation efforts.
   

Additional Information:

• This is a full-time salaried position.
• This position is based at Bridger’s facility in Bozeman, MT and is not a remote work position.
