What You Will Achieve
You will be operating automatic and manual chemical process equipment of varying complexity in various production processes in accordance with operating procedures. You will perform quality control analyses as required to complete in-process batches and identify variations. You will be trained in hazardous material handling and emergency procedures as these processes may generate high pressure and/or critical reactions.
As part of the Technical Operations team, your prior work experience and ability to apply your breadth of knowledge will help you adapt the standard methods and procedures. You will help us identify required delivery and cleaning/process improvements that drive increased efficiency, throughput and quality. You will arrive at decisions on which methods and procedures are the best fit for different work situations.

How You Will Achieve It
- Assist in conducting risk assessments for cleaning activities to enhance plant safety.
- Perform Material receiving, staging, material movement, dispensing, sampling, filter inspection and change out and charging operation as per SOP.
- Perform sampling, intermediate and finished goods pack out as per SOP.
- Perform set-up and cleaning as per the approved cleaning instructions and site procedures.
- Perform pre-campaign set up, post campaign activities and change over cleaning.
- Manage and guide fitters and contract staff
- Co-ordinate/collaborate with engineering personnel for mechanical and E/I activities related to changeover cleaning, preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Ensure that permit to work are issued in a safe condition to carry out maintenance tasks
- Co-ordinate /collaborate with QC IPC testing team personnel for rinse/swab sample management and release related to changeover cleaning.
- Perform panel operation, monitor alarm suppression and interlock bypasses using DCS Delta V control system.
- Ensure proper communication and handling over of shft duties.
- Responsible to update shift handover log, Manufacturing Standard Work and Operation Standard work.
- Complete/Review all documentation according to GMP and GDP standards.
- Monitor the plant status and liaise with colleagues of other departments to ensure there is no interruption to manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot all safety incidents, deviations and issues and coordinate with other functions when required.
- Responsible for preparation and completion of equipment cleaning for maintenance work and prevent any unclean equipment backlog.
- Take immediate action to resolve any near miss situations and raise good saves.
- Report all actual, near misses and potential accidents for further investigation.
- Assist in investigating all actual, near miss, and potential safety and quality incidents. Provide information to troubleshoot and independently take the initiative to resolve operational issues related to cleaning.
- Perform system transaction and operation using HEMA, LIMS, AMPS, SAP, EMAS, etc
- Complete all required training by attending scheduled training, SOJT, OJT, JSA and read and understand.
- Identify and communicate all operating deviations and problems.
- Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Assist in project commissioning, project activities and validation activities as necessary.
- Able to perform overtime if required
Qualifications
Must-Have
- GCE “O/A’ levels or NITEC or Higher NITEC or Diploma in technical discipline
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Prior experience in a light industrial setting working with chemicals.
- Previous experience in petrochemical industry and or similar settings.
