LEAD OR CO-LEAD ACTIVITIES CONTRIBUTING TO THE SUC

Duties

• Lead or co-lead activities contributing to the successful delivery of the Frequency Reference System (FRS) as part of the Laser System for the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission.
• Work closely with Product Development Leads, systems/discipline engineers, and vendors, updating/tracking schedule milestones, holding technical interchange discussions, reviewing monthly financial statements, budgeting, and resources forecasting.
• Support current Product Development Lead of the Frequency Reference System to maintain, and modify if needed, the technology development contract and future flight contracts.
• Lead or co-lead the development of system-level test plans and procedures to characterize the Frequency Reference System performance with the Laser Head for the LISA mission.
• Represent the NASA project team at technical interface meetings with engineers from international partners including European Space Agency (ESA) and ESA member states.
• Document research activities and provide expert resources through technical publications in a manner consistent with space-based projects and published results in professional scientific journals.
• Lead or co-lead effective teams comprised of individuals of diverse backgrounds including scientists, multi-disciplinary engineers, students, and support staff at multiple institutions.
• Identify technical risks and provide mitigation plan for retiring these risks.
