The Source to Pay (S2P) Communications & Engagement Lead is an individual contributor role reporting to the Finance & Workforce Engagement Lead and plays a critical role within the Source to Pay (S2P) organization by managing and executing internal and external communications, including leadership of a professional development council of represented S2P colleagues to ensure training requirements are appropriately assigned and met across the organization. This position involves developing content, determining appropriate channels, and ensuring effective delivery of messages. The S2P Communications Lead will possess strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and experience in developing and executing strategic communication plans. They will be adept at creating engaging content, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving organizational alignment through effective communication. This role will also lead, develop, promote, deliver, and align learning and development strategies and programs across all S2P teams, colleagues, and geographies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications
- Develop communications tailored for the S2P team and external colleagues, including announcements, project updates, and organizational changes, to maintain transparency and engagement
- Represent S2P’s communication requirements and strategy to the Fuse team, ensuring alignment and effective messaging across platforms
- Ensure all communications are consistent with the organization’s brand voice and tone, maintaining a professional and engaging style that aligns with S2P’s values and objectives.
- Facilitate working sessions with S2P teams to capture specific communication needs and requirements, ensuring all requirements are incorporated into the communication plan
- Ensure all S2P members are informed, engaged, and inspired, fostering a collaborative environment focused on achieving common goals
- Act as the primary liaison between S2P and other teams, including Fuse (Technical Team, Knowledge Management Team), Digital CoE, and others, facilitating collaboration and ensuring cohesive communication strategies
- Partner with S2P Leadership and the PPAI team to develop and deliver quarterly communications on business achievements to senior management stakeholders, including VP-level and executive leadership team (ELT) members
- Stay updated on industry best practices in communications and bring innovative ideas to enhance S2P’s communication efforts
- Monitor and update S2P content on Fuse, ensuring all information is current, relevant, and easily accessible
- Support ServiceNow system upgrades by participating in testing and ensuring smooth communication transitions
- Prepare talking points and consistent messaging for S2P leadership for external speaking engagements and conferences
- Organize and run S2P Town Halls, facilitating effective communication and engagement across the organization
Support S2P change management and people engagement
- Establish and track key performance metrics for communication initiatives, using data to assess effectiveness and make improvements as needed
- Create mechanisms for gathering feedback from S2P team members and other stakeholders on communication effectiveness and areas for improvement, and incorporate this feedback into future communication strategies
- Leads Professional Development Council, made up with a mix of S2P colleagues from various teams, by providing appropriate management of the Council’s roster, direction, and initiatives
- Thoroughly understands all Learning & Development resources made available to colleagues by Pfizer, including Pfizer’s Core Competency model, organizes those resources, and delivers, via the online portal, to all S2P colleagues
- Identifies and connects Learning & Development resources, including those from third-party providers to the Procurement Competencies and delivers, via the online portal, to all S2P colleagues so they can build and develop those skills, capabilities, and behaviors
- Help design learning pathways across the 5 distinct, specialize Source to Pay job descriptions for horizonal or vertical growth
- Serves as a coach and mentor for IDP planning and discussions, and provides consultative services, available to all S2P people managers globally, to deliver a higher level of S2P colleague job performance through application of all available L&D programs and tools
- Advocate for and implement tools and platforms that facilitate better communication and collaboration within the S2P organization as well as with our external suppliers
Required Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS and 7-10 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and involving multiple global stakeholders, not only within S2P, but across business, divisions and enabling functions
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Executive presence: excellent interpersonal/influencing skills and ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization; demonstrated experience interacting with senior level leadership and leading/presenting to groups
- Strong facilitation and coaching/mentoring skills
- Business acumen and an ability to contribute to S2P strategy and planning
- Clear thinker – is able to think strategically and can develop simple straight forward, effective and transparent plans
- Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization
- Ability to work across different cultures and with a variety of leaders from different backgrounds and experiences
- High level of detail-orientation with an ability to produce high-quality, timely outcomes
- Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- English language fluency
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or master’s degree in data science, strategy, management, or related field is a plus
- 10+ years of relevant work experience leading communications strategy in similarly sized organizations

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
