Description
About the Role – You will:
- Execute site maintenance plan
- Prepare and monitor progress on maintenance schedules (i.e., daily, weekly, etc.) and assign work to meet and ensure those schedules are achieved.
- Work with cross functional team to maximize operational efficiency of the equipment
- Hire, supervise, and train maintenance technicians
- Monitor and manage the team’s performance
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
- Lead all equipment troubleshooting efforts
- Assist with the development of the maintenance budget and work to ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of necessary materials, equipment, spare parts, and place replenishment orders
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

- This position will be part of the Manufacturing team that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering.
- You will report to the Battery Maintenance Managerand collaborate with other Manufacturing team members located at the facility.

Your Experience Includes:
- Associate degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience as maintenance supervisor or similar supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to support your direct team members
- Knowledge of health and safety practices, policies, and regulations
- Understanding of budget and performance management
- Strong planning and leadership abilities
- Physical Demands:
- May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
- Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
- Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
- Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
- Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
- Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
- Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
