The Senior Marketing Strategy Manager leads product strategy and front-end operational capabilities. The role works cross-functionally with outside sales, operations, supply chain and engineering to develop company-wide strategies that will enable long-term strategic growth. Prior leadership/management experience strongly preferred. Job requires substantial financial skills, market analysis and advanced communication.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Marketing, Business or Science preferred.
Experience: 10+ years in product management, product development, product marketing, and/or a relevant sales role.
MBA is preferred.
Travel: 10%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for independently leading and defining the development of a strategy to include responsibility for product portfolio and customer pipeline.
- Maintain US market expertise, including in-depth knowledge of US competitor products and strategies, market trends and dynamics, market/franchise critical success factors, and customer needs. Awareness of global insights as it relates to impacting the North American market and incorporate opportunities or threats into the business plan as applicable.
- Develop strategies and plans to drive product awareness and market development.
- Identifies and executes positioning to be the leader in the market.
- Develop and update annual marketing plans/strategies including market analysis, customer segmentation and targeting, product positioning, competitive assessments, and SWOT or situation assessment.
- Create and develop US specific strategies for new product commercialization.
- Support launch readiness by developing product inventory timing, marketing programs, and working with Communications Manager to develop promotional collateral.
- Take a leadership role on project teams to work closely with the project team to drive accountability and team achievement of goals and milestones to enable customer success and profitable revenue generation.
- Manage creative agencies to plan, develop, and execute new US materials.
- Knowledge/ability to develop and execute a "new" product launch.
- Must be able to understand technical and scientific information.
- Must be able to influence and motivate individuals from sales, marketing, and other functional areas to drive product awareness and projects.
- Must be able to complete multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering & Purchasing to ensure supply chain is established to support customer needs.
- In this core Marketing role, the Manager will drive and be held accountable to deliver Sales, Margin, and goals for designated products.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
