Overview of Role and Responsibilities
The New Business Manager is responsible for coordination and execution of all new business initiatives, including coordinating and developing RFP responses, ad hoc recommendation development, and ongoing agency visibility initiatives essential to our agency’s growth and reputational development.
The New Business Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the Green Room Leadership Team, the Extended Leadership Team and the agency’s Creative services team to activate our business growth goals, including growing existing business through communications about our diverse capabilities, as well as identifying and pursuing new client opportunities.
Core responsibilities will include the following:
- Work closely with LT to ensure activities support the agency’s overall new business strategy, including reinforcing priority focus areas, tracking progress, managing assets, and helping to identify and connect with new client contacts.
- For all active opportunities, establish client and team lines of communication and timelines/project plans to ensure proper engagement of all resources.
- For RFPs, develop creative concepts and themes for response decks, in partnership with LT, Creative and contributing ELT members; ensure proper flow, storytelling, and quality of each proposal.
- Oversee ongoing cadence of external visibility initiatives, including website content (blogs, videos), awards and speaking opportunities, and GR-sponsored events, in partnership with LT/ELT.
- Collaborate with LT/ELT on development of assets that capture our diverse capabilities, including capes decks, workshops and other unique offerings.
Success Factors & Qualifications:
- Prior work experience in an agency setting, healthcare communications, and new business activities
- Demonstrated experience developing creative and strategic communications programs for clients in a variety of focus areas (internal, external, digital)
- Extremely comfortable in a collaborative environment and working closely with all levels of agency and client partners
- Extremely high level of organization, project management and attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and systems
- Excellent writing and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in other creative tools a plus
