BUT ENOUGH ABOUT US, LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

Known is looking for a talented and multidisciplinary Sr. Designer/Animator who will serve as a key member of the Design team at Known. The Sr. Designer/Animator will work with the VP, Head of Design to conceive innovative design and animation executions across digital, print, social, UX/UI, visual identity systems and video. The Sr. Designer/Animator will also concept and execute designs for presentations, templates and PR/talent/internal assets. This position requires a passionate, talented and conceptual pixel-perfect designer & animator with a specific eye for brand, type, layout, composition and color design. 

Candidates must be based in either NYC or LA and be available to work from the office 2+ days/week. This temporary position will have the opportunity to transition to a full-time benefited position for the right candidate.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create and concept outstanding pixel-perfect designs and animations for video, digital paid and organic social, print/OOH assets, as well as decks, presentations, and other PR/internal communications assets
• Collaborate with the VP, Head of Design to create conceptual designs and animations that deliver against creative briefs to enhance our clients’s brands
• Work with, and in some cases develop, brand and platform guidelines to maintain and iterate around existing design concepts
• Design and animate innovative assets across social & video, including moving illustration, mixed media motion graphics, cinemagraphs and more 
• Leverage talent for visual design to contribute to holistic brand experiences that solve for business goals

• Keep current on design, social trends, and industry technology, sharing findings with the department to facilitate new ways of thinking, working, and problem-solving
• Prioritize and work across multiple projects with changing deadlines, maintaining a high rate of speed

• Ensure and develop best practice principles in conjunction with wider team

• Consistently communicate with project owners regarding project status and challenges

• Provide technical input and advice on projects as required to achieve high quality
and on-time delivery
• Brainstorm conceptual directions, both independently and as part of an integrated team
• Offer input and share ideas at creative meetings
• Manage creative request workflow by prioritizing projects

WHAT YOU HAVE DONE/WHO YOU ARE

• You have a BA in design or other related field
• You have 5-7+ years of professional experience working in design at an advertising agency, design firm and/or in-house creative team
• You have experience working in brand design and animation across a wide range of projects and have a solid understanding of best practices across key disciplines and deliverables, i.e. social, web design, visual identity systems
• You have a superior design eye and a solid understanding of fundamental disciplines of design as well as design trends, specifically across brand design, type, layout, image composition, and infographic design
• You have expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Keynote., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Figma and Google Suite
• You are able to work quickly and can remain extremely detail-oriented even while working across multiple projects/deadlines
• You possess a strong work ethic, are adaptable to ever-changing hours and demands, and have the ability to refocus and develop options for quick changes in projects
• You are self-driven, eager, and passionate about design and advertising
