JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for driving rollback to branch/customer locations for pickups, deliveries, and branch transfers of Ohio Machinery Co. construction equipment. The Driver will properly and safely load and unload equipment on and off delivery vehicle, provide basic instruction to customer on the operation of equipment, complete general duties around the yard, check equipment for damages and ensure the signing of rental agreements is complete. The Driver will also complete inspection reports, and logbook. It is expected of the Drive to maintain a safe driving record always.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A clean (less than 4 points) driving record.
- Class “A” CDL license and a current Medical Certification Card (acquired by the time of appointment) is required.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Prior truck-trailer combination driving experience and in-depth understanding of special restrictions/laws/regulations of the transportation industry are required.
- Experience in safe operation of 7 axle set-up and oversized loads required.
- Ability to maintain a professional image and behavior.
- Ability to provide superior customer service.
- Knowledge of electronic logbook is required.
- General knowledge of construction equipment, maintenance, and its operation is desired.

- Attention to detail, quick reaction times, and situational awareness while driving and operating equipment is required.
- Desire to approach learning and training as an ongoing, career-long process.
- Knowledge and constant practice of safe work habits.
- High level of composure and good stress management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Some lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50lbs; Climbing on and off a delivery vehicle as well as on and off equipment; The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
