Summary

The Procurement Category Manager will work directly with the project engineering team to develop strategy for numerous multi-year capital projects. They will work with project stakeholders to identify and build a strategy to procure goods and services specific to the project. The Category Manager will maintain a project tracker, inclusive of budget and schedule. Category manager will facilitate regular coordination meetings with project group. Category manager will build strategies for spend analysis/mapping, external market analysis, and vendor management.  He/She will lead project specific sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops plan for projects with high-level criticality and complexity. Builds strong stakeholder relationships to prioritize and deliver projects.
• Manages strategic vendor relationships and performance to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost and supply commitments.
• Lead sourcing projects including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development.
• Initiation and negotiation of project related contracts. Owner of contract from start to project close.
• Own the development and execution, contract amendments, Letters of intent, and addendums.
• Resolution of contract disputes
