The City of Gainesville is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual who is innovative and forward thinking that will embrace the organization's citizen-centered vision. The community, its elected leaders, and executive leadership team have embraced this vision.Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) currently has an opening for a qualified Analyst to join our Customer Support Services Projects and Analytics team. We are looking for a highly responsible professional to perform moderately complex technical work analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining departmental automated/computerized systems.
A typical work day may include: using, maintaining, configuring, planning, and supporting users of GRU’s Customer Relationship Management and Billing Systems, Customer Contact Center and IVR Systems, Reporting and Tracking System for our Customer Support Services Departments and Divisions. Additionally using SAP IS-U/CRM, Power BI, Filemaker, ProjectDox, and Business Objects to satisfy requests for information, data, and reports. Developing, monitoring, and reporting Service Level Agreement metrics for internal and Vendor provided services.
Additionally, this position will be assigned to projects to design, create, and improve solutions for internal and external customers including requirements gathering, process management, development, testing, and publishing. Other duties may include the evaluation of sensitive data requests, including employee and customer information, to determine what is appropriate to publish. Presenting data, requirements, reports, process change recommendations, audit results, and other information to organizational leadership.
Preference may be extended to those candidates who possess:
• Experience in QA/QC of utility processes and procedure, including rate structures, billing rules, customer expectations, and revenue recovery opportunities that enable optimum report development.
• Experience in testing S/4 HANA for Utilities.
• Experience with Business Process Modeling, Requirements documentation, and technical writing.
• Experience with SAP IS-U/CRM or other customer relationship management software.
• Experience developing functional and technical specifications.
• Experience developing test scenarios and scripts.
• Experience developing reporting and data solutions using SAP Business Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and HANA.
• Experience developing, improving, and documenting business processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information technology, computer sciences, computer programming, information science, networks, system engineering and three (3) years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department ,
Or,
• An Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information technology, computer sciences, computer programming, information sciences or system engineering, and five (5) years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department, or
Or,
• Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, and current generally accepted certification in an IT area of expertise, and five (5) years of Information Technology experience. Certification and experience must be relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department.
• Candidates with Bachelor or Associate degrees may be able to apply active certification from an industry accepted licensing organization in project management, database, network, security management and implementation, or department specific software toward experience requirements.

Job Description:
SUMMARY
This is professional and moderately complex technical work analyzing, designing, implementing and maintaining departmental automated/computerized systems.
Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under limited supervision. Work in this class is distinguished by its advanced technical and operational skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Depending on area of assignment:
Analyzes, designs, identifies, prioritizes, and resolves reported problems including data, account administration, email, desktop, and application issues.
Evaluates hardware/software needs and training/documentation.
Designs, implements and administers automated/computerized systems, such as SCADA, Outage Management, EMS, Geographic Information Systems, computer aided dispatch systems and work management and tracking systems.
Performs needs assessments at departmental level.
Produces data, information and reports.
Corrects program errors or affects modifications of departmental automated/computerized systems by revising coded instructions or altering the sequence of operations.
Communicates with vendors to evaluate new hardware and software solutions, and to discuss existing problems and issues.
Performs in-house technical training for users.
Develops and writes computer programs for input and retrieval of specific documents, data, and information.
Configures departmental software applications and servers to ensure high availability.
Designs user interfaces, applying graphic and creative artistic skills
Attends work on a continuous and regular basis.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
May require on-call responsibilities.
May require after-hours and weekend responsibilities.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information technology, computer sciences, computer programming, information science, networks, system engineering and three(3) years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department , or An Associate degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in information technology, computer sciences, computer programming, information sciences or system engineering, and five (5) years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department, or
Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, and current generally accepted certification in an IT area of expertise , and five (5) years of Information Technology experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provide the required knowledge, ability, and skills. Certification and experience must be relevant to the needs and subject matter of the hiring department.
